So if Beltran gets elected to the HOF, does he go in as a Met?...Interesting to see if he even gets elected with the Astro cheating fiasco being the last year of his career...

He did play more games for the Mets than any other team. I believe he'll get in the HOF eventually.

Beltran won't get in this year or next year. Next year will just be Beltre and a few of the ones who have been building towards it . Then the following year he won't get in because it's CC, and Ichiro and probably nobody else. Maybe 2026 with that weak class Beltran has a shot.

I would say yes he should definitely go in as a Met, he played 7 seasons for both the Royals and Mets, but his HRs (149 vs. 123), RBIs (559 vs. 516) and OPS (.869 vs. .835) numbers for the Mets are slightly better. Plus he won 3 gold gloves and 3 silver sluggers with the Mets, and received none of those awards while on the Royals (though he did win a ROY with them).

Plus his defining moment was with the Mets.

McNeil with the extension and I think a really solid value signing for the Mets. and gives him a big pay bump. Great for both sides.

Agreed...also cost certainty plays important part for future roster construction...Now, time to lock up the Polar Bear...

So apparently the Mets are running a Super Bowl ad...Steve Cohen sparing no expense to market the team...This is a teaser trailer for the SB ad on 2/12/23...

What do you guys think of Simon Juan and Willy Fanas from an investing standpoint?

Both are sub $25 base autos and seem to have decently high ceilings for their age

Neither one has done anything yet that leads me to believe that they will live up to their signing bonuses, but they are both so young that it's tough to evaluate the talent.

The only thing I miss about living in central Florida is the spring training games.

Nimmo said not to expect him in a game until next week. He's slow rolling spring training.

Nice to see Alonso and Baty start off hot.

Just got tickets to my first Mets game of the year. July 22nd vs Red Sox at Fenway.

I was looking at spring training stats and I see a couple of people that we haven't seen play at all yet and I'm curious if anyone has any explanation why.

Lucchesi
Robertson

I know why Ruf, Curtiss, Nimmo, and Ridings haven't played

Good point on Robertson. As far as Lucchesi I'm guessing it's related to his rehabbing from TJ? I believe I saw him pitching in the very first intrasquad game they did a few weeks ago and haven't heard about him since.
