I don't usually pre-order anything, but I might have to order my usual 2 boxes to start. Some day I'll be comfortable enough to order a whole case.

Just tried to preorder a case from BO and it went from having 2 in stock to being sold out. Hopefully the price isn't jacked up when it comes back online, especially if Fanatics will be printing more of these.

48 autos, 144 chromes, a bunch of parallels (including what should be more visually appealing foil paper cards), and probably close to 2000 base cards to make sets/player lots seems like a pretty good deal for $800.

They could go with the flagship mosaic-ish print but I'm hoping they follow the lead of 22/23 Topps UEFA soccer, which is holofoil done right because the cards really pop. Regardless, I'm excited and think this will be an improvement to past years.

I enjoyed the flat color from last year. The foil might look better with this year's design.

Interesting how BO comments on the chrome autos. It says that the gold and orange lava chrome parallels and the orange lava variation autos. Does that mean that all other versions of the chrome autos can be in hobby?

Here is a breakdown of chrome:

Refractors – /99
Aqua Refractors – /75
Gold Refractors – /50 (HTA jumbo only)
Gold Mini-Diamond Refractors – /50 (hobby only)
Orange Lava Refractors – /25 (HTA jumbo only)
Orange Mini-Diamond Refractors – /25 (hobby only)
Red Refractors – /5
Red Mini-Diamond Refractors – /5 (hobby only)
Superfractors – 1/1

So basically only gold refractors and orange lava refractors are jumbo only. And hobby has three exclusive chrome parallels.

I will probably get a case of each.

If Cardboard Connection has the right info, only the orange chrome autos will be jumbo exclusives, along with the non auto gold and orange lavas so the ceiling for regular hobby is higher this year between added chrome color and chrome auto possibilities.

Plus last year, jumbos only had chrome autos #ed to 25 or less so while those were big money for the right names, they were also hard to pull.

I did a jumbo case last year and struck out on chrome autos but I would expect each hobby case to have at least one ref chrome auto and possibly more depending on the ultimate print run.

I think higher print runs should be assumed for all 2023 product unfortunately.

And yes, last year about half the paper auto checklist had chrome autos and those were #ed to 25, 5 and 1 only so they were definitely chases.

I wouldn't be surprised to see every auto subject have paper and chrome versions this year since it's all stickers.

IIRC last year, the checklist came out a week or two before the product launched.
