So, this is another one of Bill Gate's brilliant ideas?

I do not like this new sign in process at all. I wonder if this is a way of diverting people to the app without saying it.

The app made me use verification as well.

I haven't logged into my account at all today because of the verification. Such a pain. Can't even make a blog post/social media posts letting people know this is coming, yet we get emails all the time about auctions and other stuff most people don't care about.

This verification thing is nonsense and a PITA.

They should use 1990's tech and use cookies so we don't have to do it every time.

Tim is not up to date on new tech and needs to sell the company. He is the only or one of a few engineers they have. Fanatics will come get him for pennies if he doesn't sell soon.

Your last year of posts are just trolling against everything that you can find. You should probably find something new to do because you have had nothing positive to say in quite a long time. We get it, you hate everything and everyone. You are the smartest person in the room. Good for you.

Anyone else experiencing problems with Paypal cashouts?

Requested a modest Paypal cashout early on Tuesday, October 10th and got the confirmation quickly, funds as usual were deducted immediately from my balance.

More than a week later and nothing...no payment, no update, no contact of any kind whatsoever. If there's a problem with the request it would be nice of COMC to let me know instead of just letting my cash rot in limbo somewhere.

I've messaged support, still waiting to hear back. Not very optimistic.

For the past few years it seems that every time I request a cashout by one method or another there's some problem or delay.

Whenever there are these problems with simple transactions at COMC I always feel that they're having some kind of cashflow complications. Hope I'm wrong.

I've loved using COMC over the years as a collector and a seller but I think my days are numbered there now.

My anecdotal experience:
- App has been much smoother this past week or so. Less lag and signicantly less crashing so props to the team on working to stablize the product. I am now using the app much more than the desktop site and would continue to so even if the desktop site was running perfectly.
- Buying in the app seems smoother than repricing, both since when the app launched and currently. But I've been able to use the 'view inventory' feature without any problems and price my new promo cards as they've been uploaded these past couple of weeks.
- Pricing and managing my inventory in desktop mode has been painful recently but probably a bit better than 2 weeks ago. But some filtering features when multiple options are input end up in the error page (but tha's been the case for me for a while, maybe because I have way too many unpriced cards on the site lol).

In terms of capchas and 2FA, I'm cautiously optimistic that they are taking their lumps to ensure more site security since this is more work/cost for them.

Can you imagine the outrage if we all woke up one day and the site was hacked like a crypto exchange and people were out of store credit or payment methods? (Not sure how much of that could happen and the physical cards themselves should be safe but I imagine this possibility isn't zero).

So I might be in the minority in that I would like continued 2FA implementation (or other enhanced security) but in the most efficient manner that still maintains enough security fidelity. But that needs to be balanced against the convenience of people who buy only and could be deterred by inconvenience and casual users.

On that note, I'm at least now receiving 2FA emails promptly and the verification code works so that's a positive, unlike at launch.

It is a bit frustrating. I've only been seriously selling on COMC for a year but during that time I've sold almost 4,000 cards - hassle free. I can't imagine selling 4,000 individual cards on eBay or Sportlots. The shipping, pic taking/uploading, refunds/returns... what a mess.
I'd love to send in all my cards to COMC and not have to worry about em, but every few months there seems to be some kinda hiccup that makes me think that they are in over their heads.

The possibility of this should be precisely zero, since COMC does not process real-time payments.

It's obviously not zero for any given user, which is why it would be reasonable to give some user choice about 2FA. But there is no chance this whole forum wakes up and has been hacked. Have you seen the complaints about how long it takes to get a PayPal payout from COMC.

With all due respect, you are seeing monsters under the bed here.

I got mine last night that was requested around the same time as you did. It was also pretty modest.

That's good to know. I don't know or care to learn how any of this back end stuff works.

On the other hand, things like when I request a BO gift certificate only take a couple of clicks so another layer of security (even if I can get it reversed later if somebody gained access to my account) would be OK for me, even if the effect is more of a placebo.

Hell, my McDonalds app makes me verify my login via email most/every time I use it so maybe I'm numbed to the inconvenience by now.

Frank no. That might annoy me more than the 2FA right now.

Thank you for your message and concerns with the COMC webpage. COMC has implemented a system update, and I am sorry for any frustration you may have experienced as a result. Unfortunately, this is not a measure that can be disabled and we apologize for the inconvenience. I will forward your concerns to our leadership team for review.

We appreciate your understanding.

Thank you,

Brandy
