Default strong finish

VS Nov.
Net Sales up 47%
Quantity Sold Down 24%
Ave Price Up 74%

Vs Oct.
Net Sales up 25%
Quantity Sold Down 42%
Ave Price Up 97%

So while quantity was down higher priced item sales were made. However I was down this quarter by 50% across the board from the same period last year.

Are you a store owner? If so there are 2 different free listing counters. I have one that shows 10k and one that shows 50k. One of them goes down anytime a listing renews.

But in all honesty you should not be letting most listings auto renew. I am guilty of it as well but should really end tgem and hit sell similar

Ebay even says they are charged and count toward your free listings.

https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/fe...g-fees?id=4822

So if you are not having this happen you have a beneficial glitch. I imagine the vast majority of sellers are being charged

December was a strong month for me (relative to 2023).

Vs. November 2023
Net Sales Up 414.7% (I had 1 large sale at the beginning of the month)
Quantity Sold Up 72.2% (better barometer than Net Sales)
Total Buyers Up 65.1%

Vs. October 2023
Net Sales Up >1,000%
Quantity Sold Up 132.5%
Total Buyers Up 115.2%

However, Vs. December 2022
Net Sales Down 34.8%
Quantity Sold Down 70.8%
Total Buyers Down 67.3%

I'm trying to send the seller a message for an invoice and I get this;

Quote:
We're sorry we couldn't find an answer for you. Unfortunately due to the high volume of messages this seller receives, they are unable to respond to your specific question right now. We suggest reviewing the item again to see if your answer is in the seller's listing.
My question is, how do I set this up for myself? The message to sales ratio has been out of whack for me all offseason.

Seller has 12 items listed and a feedback score of 467.

It's in the communication settings. However if I b weee a buyer and saw that when I sent a legitimate question I would hit the back button and never look back.

I’ve always wondered if it WAS in fact a glitch because eBay never sent out any communication noting any changes in the listing fees/structures. I’ll take it, though.

Yep. I changed it back to 4x6 and it worked for a couple days then it switched back to the 2 labels per page. If I remember correctly, the setting is the next page after purchasing the bulk labels on the right side of the page. Just keep checking each page and you'll see it...frustrating!

I put my store on vacation mode last year (22nd until the 3rd), sold 1 card during that time period. Did the same thing this year and I’ve sold 22 cards. I’m pleasantly surprised by this.

December ended up being my 4th best month of 2023 by net sales ($). Here's how the monthly numbers looked.

1) January
2) August
3) September
4) December
5) May
6) April
7) February
8) October
9) November
10) June
11) March
12) July

*I was away for 8 days in March at Spring Training. I was out of town 2 weeks in July, while also moving during the month, and the move actually started in June explaining the bottom 3 months.

Sales picked up a bit for me in December thanks to the end of the month (small time seller here compared to most in the thread)

- Transactions up close to 10% from November
- Transactions were up quite a bit from last year but dollar value is down. Makes sense as I have been working through a bunch of lower end cards recently as time allows.

Random question while I am here...Where does the return shipping label cost show up if you offered free returns on something? I had them on for a few non card items and even though they were shipped back I don't see any kind of deduction from my payments page.

This is the issue. I'd say about 95% of my messages are either asking for a lower price or a generic "what's the condition", but I would definitely miss some that lead to sales.

Final sales for the year is up 67%. That's actually a bit of a disappointment for how I started because Q4 I was down 1.2%. December was up 85% vs November 2023 and 50% vs December 2022. I closed out strong though. Two of my sales on New Year's Eve were $300 that I paid $85 for and $200 that I paid $70.

My months went like this;

1. July
2. April
3. February
4. March
5. June-Out of town for 10 days.
6. December
7. January
8. August-Out of town for 10 days.
9. September
10. May-Out of town for 10 days.
11. November
12. October

By $ amount:
1. July
2. December
3. November
4. September
5. October
6. January
7. June
8. May
9. February
10. March
11. April
12. August

By Volume:
1. September
2. December
3. November
4. October
5. July
6. June
7. May
8. August
9. January
10. April
11. March
12. February

Makes sense to have more sales at the end of the year vs the beginning since I have been growing my store and listing items each day. Beginning of 2023 I had ~3,330 listings & 66 followers. At the end of 2023 I had ~13,400 listings and 146 followers. MoM each grew in total, which I hope the followers continues to grow. Not sure where I want my listings to be at, later this month/beginning of next month, I plan on going through some of my older listings and doing lots of them to move them out to clear up some inventory space I have.

Yeah its very annoying. Doing them 1 by 1 still gives me 4X6 but it takes so much longer.

Tells a story of me settling into my niche of low-to-mid end in 2023.

Sales volume really tailed off at the end of the year starting in August.

January 256
June 240
April 186
February 179
March 172
July 139
May 114
December 93
August 90
September 69
November 52
October 40

There was some discussion when they first came out in the ESE thread over here: https://www.blowoutforums.com/showth...4#post19130254
