Yep, got the same within the last hour. I would like to know how long it will be delayed, because if it will be months, I probably will cancel and roll the funds into more 24 Topps Series 1 Baseball Jumbo boxes that are already live. My thinking is I can always go back and re-order the topps ufc when it becomes available and not have my money tied up.

topps will topps and drop it at increased price since this was "presale" price.

Blowout is showing a new release date of 3/27. Topps has not given any updates directly, afaik

Looks like they’re making retail for this. UFC store has blasters ($30) and megas ($60) available. Megas look way better in value on paper than a hobby with a guaranteed auto per box.

Dogshit pull ratios compared to hobby and can't pull all the autos that you can in hobby so no retail is always trash, just look at odds table.

I haven’t done any deep dive on odds but with most topps products (baseball, soccer) retail has better bang for buck. Plus mega is stated as 1 auto per box.

Like most other chrome sets, autos aren’t the draw, it’s the parallels. If retail has long shots at decent parallels then I feel like you’re tossing money away on retail.

Color AND autos are what drives value. Do you have any info that says per $ hobby is better? As I stated historically on other topps products retail has been a better return on the $.

I just did a quick scan of odds. Most true color (red, gold, blue, black) is about 6x longer odds in the mega than in hobby. They aren’t available in blasters. That tells me avoid blasters and focus on hobby or mega.

Most shops are selling hobby for $240, topps preorder price on hobby was $220 but actual price tends to be higher after presale window. Megas are 60 so hobby 4x more, so hobby better for color.

Mega has twice as many autos per dollar and also ten xfractors per box. Based on that quick scan of odds I’d say hobby and mega are similar in $ return but stay away from blasters.

Obviously odds are way longer but for those priced out of hobby, a mega with a guaranteed auto and 10 exclusive x-fractors isn't bad. This is anecdotal but I've also seen more 1/1's come out of Topps than any other retail, and big ones. I don't get why liking one format always has to lead to trashing or downing the others, the original post didn't need to add "Megas look way better in value on paper than a hobby with a guaranteed auto per box." Now it's just format arguments when I'm waiting for a checklist lol

That’s what’s nice about topps retail. You can usually pull all the same cards that are available in hobby, unlike panini where retail is crap and all the big hits are in hobby.

Would also add I expect hobby will be more boom or bust, where a mega is going to have a decent floor with 10 xfractors and an auto.

There are fighter breaks for sale on ebay, some dealers/breakers have the checklist but Topps isn't allowing it to be public yet for some reason
