Saw him play a few times when he was in low A. Followed him and few others throughout the system. He’s a baller! Glad to see him have some success at the big league level.

I've had Somerset Patriots (Yankees Double A affiliate) season tickets since 2021. I saw him play dozens of times. He was Cole's catcher in Cole's first rehab start last month.

His current success is not surprising. Simply, he plays the game at a high level. His baseball IQ is top-notch. I don't think and never thought he'd be a star, but I felt there'd be a place for him in MLB.

Remember back in the summer of 2019 when Mike Tauchman went bonkers for the Yankees? Selling his '18 Update cards during this paid for my trip to Greece that year. I see a lot of what Tauchman did in Rice.

On June 19, I paid $4.98 for the Ben Rice #313 Call-Up card. With the crazy prices people are paying for the card, I thought for sure my order was going to be canceled.

However, this morning I received a "your order is shipping" email. Yahoo!

Again, kudos to holyat2006! Obviously, they're a seller you can trust.

Would much rather see Ben Rice continue to develop instead of paying big money to people like Rizzo. Hoping the Yankees start trying to bolster up their pitching staff with some of their young talent finally producing. Maybe Alcantara or Gallen would be a great addition for the future!

for sure, myself included (same for Ohtani).

But those guys are outliers and time has proven that.

Uncle Ben's Rice is likely to expire by the end of the year though
