Yes, you would.

How about adding Pokemon and TCG?

Like I said, yes you would.

It's unfortunate that they aren't expanding quick enough for your liking.

Some Pokemon and *some* TCG.

Yu-Gi-Oh!, Japanese Weiss Schwarz, Kayou Naruto, Bandai and Topsun Pokemon, most Dragon Ball releases cannot be submitted to TAG. The TAG TCG options remain narrow compared to their competitors, with no support at all for Chinese and Korean language either.

Supporting TAG for grading feels like funding a Kickstarter at this point. It's hard to defend a company years after their launch and lagging behind every other grader in what can be submitted. No other grading company doesn't accept die-cut cards or a Clearly Donruss, no other grading company can't slab a basic patch card, no other grading company can't slab a Bowman Inception card because its too thick. The goal posts aren't being moved - this team can't even get on the field and accept a card from 1988

Maybe the tech isn't ready, maybe they can't pay and train enough people to protect against fakes or alterations and anything their software misses, but it really doesn't feel like the future of this company is in grading cards for much more than repack products

Same point over and over. "TAG can't do xxxxx cards". Don't use them, problem solved.

I won't be using them - I tried them before and like many here, lost interest in submitting with a lack of significant developments - there's no progress toward a serious effort to establishing TAG as a company whose expertise and commitment to collectors can be trusted. We are witnessing something unusual in the hobby which lacks mainstream coverage and widespread adoption - numbers which seem suspicious, technology without demonstrable proof it grades accurately without significant human intervention and adjustment, and an overall lack of news and updates. This is a hearsay space for what seemed like an paradigm shift but more or less appears to be a novelty product for a niche audience ultimately.

Same points made over and over. You've already made it clear what a malevolent presence TAG is to grading.

More recently than yours. I'm putting together mystery boxes.

If it is a sports mystery box, the hits will be sparce without mem or thicker stock cards.

There are great ideas that fail for many reasons. In this case it truly doesn't matter if TAG is a phenomenal idea or if the execution is flawless.

PSA is simply too large to fail, and if even a hint of it was spoken there are enough deep pockets to make that chatter end immediately. Besides that, PSA is often updating the submitter interface whether it be with pre scans, easier order entry, simpler shipping options.... unlike BGS who has made no effort since 2018 and is basically dead because of it.

TAG missed its window to make any real noise in the general sense of grading... maybe the end game is to perfect the system and then sell that. I think people could easily get behind a simple 2-3 blurb dig report. PSA has moved to grader notes on higher end, maybe something like this is the end game on bulk to churn out faster and get to the 10 dollar price point

I am trying to figure the rational behind posting these numbers each week? TAG grades about 5000 Pokémon cards a week, I think we understand this by now. It is probably doing more harm than good for TAG posting this. Grading 572 cards without Pokémon for a grading company is just embarrassing. GMA is probably grading the same amount of sports cards per month at the same price.

The only people that do are the Discord TAG users that are trying to pump the company. Notice that no one is doing this for PSA/CGC/SGC or any other company. The sole intention of this is an advertisement and nothing more.

I'm fine with that. Why do you care?

You are insufferable.

It’s funny.

One guy says “I’m done doing this” and immediately another rando picks it right up.

Even funnier are the people who come in to complain about it. Imagine posting about TAG in a TAG thread. The horror.

Yeah head over to Discord.

Any new gripes, or just the same ones you post every week?

Show a second of grace and immediately on the defensive. Sorry for trying to welcome something new to the floor, because the other threads on this forum show action and pickups and crossovers and collections and this is a glaring exception.

So, no new pickups to share, no updates from the company. This is how conversation gets circular and brands become stale.

So the game is, “the discord” sends people here to post and pump. Then ones here say “go to discord” when any real questions are asked.

Did you ever post a card in here? I post cards all the time in other forums.

What percent of your 277 posts, are in this forum?
