Surprised Boone brought Carrasco out to start the 6th 1 flyout and 1 double later he is done. Decent outing.

Ottavino is easy to run on as Josh Naylor stole 3rd.

9-7 after a perdomo grand slam. Yarbrough finally gets an out after letting his first 4 batters score. He is buying himself a demotion or an outright release.

Ben Rice strikes out with the bases loaded to end the 7th. Decent at bat though.

Well 9-7 after the top of the &th would be nice if the Yankees could extend the lead.

Well I am not rooting for Soto to fail but he is learning that just because Cohen isn’t afraid to spend money the Mets will always be second fiddle to the Yankees. Obviously he didn’t want to be second fiddle to Judge but he would still get more recognition as a Yankee than a Met.

Luke Weaver is legit. Glad to see Jazz hitting homers. We need a true leadoff hitter, we've been lacking in that department since DJ won the batting title.

Yea most likely but he pretty much guaranteed he will be a Met for the rest of his career. I hope the extra 10 million makes him happy at what point do you stop chasing the money. Even if he puts up better numbers than Judge which I don’t see happening he will always be second fiddle to him, as Judge could’ve left the Yankees for more money but showed loyalty to the team.

So far the leadoff mixture of Wells, Goldschmidt and Rice has been doing decent but I agree it would be nice to have one steady leadoff hitter.

Some overreacting here early in the season. I hate Soto now too but this will even out by the end of the year...and Post-Season Stanton is awesome but over Soto, come on now lol!

Is there ever such a thing? Rice is doing so well that they don't need Stanton clogging up the middle of the lineup with his double play balls and slow base running. I'm still on the DFA train and let Rice play!

1sr ever card for Escarra (at least I couldn't find any listed in Beckett during spring training).

Hopefully many more Judge cards to come this year. With this start, if he has the same rest of the season last year, he might get close to breaking the MLB home run record.

The bottom of the lineup is getting it done today. 2 hits apiece for Dominguez and Cabrera and all 4 RBI's.
