Quick glance. There are approx. 15,701 total boxes (1 stan lee cut) which means approx. 1,570 cases.

The SDCC exclusive had approx. 1,560 boxes (1 doom SDCC super) so approx. 156 cases.

Made some rough calculations for funsies & man Topps is raking money:

SDCC $100 x 1,560 = approx. $156,000

General release $299.99 x 15,701 = approx. $4,710,142.99

Lots of factors to consider on what Topps actually made since they probably give discounts to LCS & breakers.
But man are those printers printing $$$ at Topps.

It’s insane. Not sure when the bottom will drop out of it but right now Topps is printing money.

Same. I expect this release to be much more limited unlike the reprint stuff yesterday. Assuming most of this will be backdoored.

There really aren’t that many parallels.

There are just tiers. Just like any marvel masterpiece set.

Parallel wise you have /100 /75 /50 /25 /10 /5 and 1/1

By Topps standards, that’s actually not that many

I didn't realize Bronze/Gold/Silver/Platinum were tiers. Of course there is the Chrome Variation, which is sort of another level of parallel, but whatever.

1500-ish cases made and maybe 1 or 2 went to the public.

We see the same thing on every one of these, people rightfully complaining that the price is nuts compared to the content.

But then we see another page of everyone saying they didn't win. If the price is so bad, why is everyone still entering? Just to flip?

If price was truly an issue, people need to stop buying/flipping.

I just hope Panini is doing what they aren’t known for doing. Being competent. They should be gathering all this information and all the other bs for their lawsuit against Topps/Fanatics. Who knows if it will even matter.

Right… it looks like Topps does a good job pricing to demand based on the sell through of these sets so far. I think people just wish the nonsports hobby would go back to being as simple and as affordable as it was pre-COVID. And people still are Marvel card fans. So I can see why they won’t give up even as prices go up. I’m running into a similar thing with my Orioles season ticket plan… they are increasing the number of games in my plan by 50% (13 to 20) and also slightly raising ticket prices to boot. So I likely will still pay as I love going to games, it’s just a bummer that my existing season plan is going away and the financial commitment is getting jacked up.

I’m sure I won’t win any of the drops but I love the next 24-48 hours on eBay for an online exclusive product like this. Undercutting galore so it’s easy to pick up boxes for $5-600 each that will then sell for $750 in a week or two once the low hanging fruit gets eaten up.
