Whatever he is doing, Judge is throwing away his 3rd MVP.

Boone is a moron and if this is still "their" shortstop, then this team sucks.

Yankees' Volpe hitless in return, but Boone touts 'good swings'

https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/...itting-2-games

This right here should be reason #1 to bench him.

According to Katie Sharp of Stathead, Volpe's .031 on-base percentage in the last 10 games is the second-worst of any Yankees non-pitcher with at least 30 plate appearances in a 10-game stretch. The worst? Dave Fultz in 1905.

Remember when people were talking about him hitting .400? I beginning to wonder if he'll hit .300.

Boone is an idiot if he thinks there is anything "good" about how Volpe is playing.

Keeping your hands inside the ball is great but teaching a kid to let the inside pitch travel deep enough to go the other way is a recipe to them getting jammed.

With as tough as his coach is, I'm surprised he doesn't tell the kids to lean in on those inside pitches and get hit. That would go against his "always swinging, no walks" philosophy though.

Probably got picked last in dodgeball.

I don't know how old your kid is but right center swing thought is what we try to teach. Helps with swing path and not trying to pull pitches on the outer half. It's a simple cue as long as thats their swing thought and not swing action. We don't want them to actively try to hit the ball there or we wind up on the other side of them rolling over and trying to pull everything.

Here is something my brother in law told me today that I had forgotten about. You know that errant relay throw by Volpe in warmups that hit Judge it was after that that judge hasn’t been himself hitting wise. I don’t think that’s really the reason but it is an odd coincidence.

It’s been making the rounds on Social Media.

“Aaron Judge was hit in the head by an errant throw from Anthony Volpe on July 5th.

Judge through July 4th:
.365/.474/.740 | 224 wRC+

Judge since July 5th:
.207/.342/.466 | 114 wRC+”

Knowing the Yankees he had an undiagnosed concussion like Rizzo.

My son is 14. Oh, the coach likes to flex that he played catcher for Eastern Carolina University. He's really tough on the kids, but he's the first coach he's had in a year of playing over here that actually is teaching the kids how to play the game instead of just throwing the ball all over the place.

This makes perfect sense. Now we can hate on Volpe for something else too.

I had no clue this was a day game today. Already winning 5- 0 in the 3rd. Home runs by Grisham, Judge, and Bellinger and RBI ground rule double by Dominguez.

I wonder how unique it is that a catcher reaches first base due to catchers interference.

McMahon with a three run homerun to make it 8 - 0.

The Nationals are sooooo bad.
Also, what happened to James Wood? He basically stopped hitting HRs since the AS break.

It’s games like this that should have the 10 run rule.

Judge 2-2 today. Maybe he's getting tired of the Raleigh MVP chances going up.

Second hit on the day for Dominguez makes it 10 - 0.

Has anyone seen Max Fried he is probably asleep somewhere. Drove my son to work and got back and they are still up. Over 40 minute at bat and it still goes on infield hit Dominguez 10-0. Volpe will end it though 1-35 Boone sit this minor leaguer.

Of course Volpe Ks to leave 3 stranded to end an inning. 0 - 3 already today.

I bet Stanton was on the bench licking his chops to get an at bat or two on Cavalli.
