Default All I want to do is talk about COMC

Yes, but they need to use better analytics/predictors that at least take into account a massive, obvious variable like Black Friday into their estimated ship times.

If it’s that obvious that we can’t be surprised, then why is their system so surprised by it- their given estimated ship time shouldnt have stated 12/2 when I placed the order 11/18.

Say what? I placed an order on 11/4 and they keep moving my order back. It is currently estimated at 12/24 with over 140,000 cards ahead of it.

I thought about this but get a little queasy having too many cards in one shipment after I had one get lost in transit a long time ago (then somehow recovered a year later). So, I had one order ship very early during the promo and then expedited a second order after the promo. Maybe a small waste of money. I've learned to get somewhat patient with anything card related these days. Delays everywhere.. even waiting to dig into a card show bargain box.

It would be nice if COMC would reply to emails.

I've even tried the premier email and have received nothing.

They know you made a transfer to The Authority.

Waitlisted transfers for you now to COMC.

In the process of heavily reducing my activity on the site. Running a 50% off sale on most items until the New Year. Taking a heavy hit on the ROI (like most are going to have to learn to do soon).

I've just got tired of the price points in the hobby finally. Waiting for the fall before I return to any kind of normal buying activity - I don't even care if that takes years.

So you are self-fulfilling your own prophecy that you made up thread during the Black Friday sales.

Had it happen once. Waited a day then I sent email w/ the transfer # and username in subject line — it was corrected right away.

I agree with his viewpoint overall but to blame flippers is completely misguided - the only company to blame is fanatics.

Every other company in the industry is raising their prices and lowering the quality of their services because they realize the fanatics playbook sells.

It'd be really cool (I think) if there was a way to sell complete sets on COMC.

There was a plan for it at some point, but COMC has never implemented it. It would have some negative effects, like people hoarding a card from every set offered, making commons $20 and forcing the purchase of them to complete the set and sell as an item. Condition would also be an issue. Most of the ePack cards are sight-unseen since the vast majority of base sets are stock photos.

I’d think it would more likely mean complete sets being sold for a penny!

Shipping complete sets to COMC would be expensive. Shipping complete sets to a buyer would be real expensive. Plus, you would need to guarantee that the cards don't have creases or damage and that every card in the set is actually there.

And, how much is COMC going to charge you to process a complete set? It isn't quick and easy like processing singles.

It sounds like a big, expensive PITA for everyone involved.

Okay, never mind. Wasn't talking about common base/inserts sets.

Carry on.

Their morning blog post notes Tag grading opens up today for select users, but doesn’t look like I am showing the option yet.

https://blog.comc.com/2025/12/14/com...d-grading/amp/

Did anyone here get early access to Tag?

54,598 items ahead of me. That has been the exact same number for almost a week. Original estimated ship date was 11/22/2025. It is now 12/18.

I think I am just done with this nonsense after this. Exclusively a buyer, and have spent a LOT of money on COMC the past 4 years plus.

No more.

It's bizarre that COMC would lay people off when COMC is well behind on everything and can't offer any semblance of customer service.

Just a poorly run and functioning company.

Be happy. The order I requested back on 11/4 now has an estimated date of 12/26 with over 145,000 items ahead of it.

I commented on one of their Facebook posts asking why they weren't replying to my email and within a day, they told me to message them my user ID. Within a day after that they addressed my email.
