I think I am now officially out on sports cards from now on, just no fun left in this hobby, even my one favorite product Ginter sucks now. I'll stick to TCGs and non sports. Thanks Topps and thanks Fanatics!

100% false. Their lowest money maker by far is the immediate product they allocate as they are selling that for around 20-25% lower than the listed price on the website. But huge amounts will be held back to sell at higher prices later for any in demand product.

I can understand being grumpy but I don’t think they were sweeping it under the rug.

They prioritized marketing other products that have huge print runs prepared to this which has the best auto checklist in a long while.

Bots actually aren't the biggest issue believe it or not. I can hardly believe it but it's true.

The biggest issues are the bs checkout process and that Topps/Fanatics is holding back tons of product to sell in waves to the chosen few at way higher prices at a later date. If they added it all on the website for sale and had the checkout process they originally had with Shopify there wouldn't be an issue on most releases bots or not.

I haven't had any issues, I don't buy every release but I have a healthy spend account with topps. B&W and Bob Ross are the only two this year I've had this issue.

Yes it is lol what are you talking about? There was a 10 minute wait to checkout where it showed the product in stock before and after that but no one could checkout. Is that bots? Somewhat but it's mainly how Topps is using this checkout system. Before the product would be in stock for like a minute and anyone could checkout with 0 errors in that 1 minute. At least for boxes. Now it's waiting lines where no one can ever get an order, errors galore, cart jacking while still in stock, changing quantity while still in stock, don't accept credit cards, don't ship to address, etc. None of which happened the first few times with Shopify. There have been some products going in and out of stock for 30-40 minutes! if it was all just there for around a minute and then actually sold out way more manual users would get orders.

They are 100% holding back product on this to sell at higher prices. That's the other issue. They have done it for every release selling well over what they originally charge for the entire year.

Yeah all manipulative. For all we know there could have been almost no (if any?) product loaded today and the supposed 10-minute line was just them putting on a show pretending to sell it when they weren't.

What higher prices are you talking about? These product never make it to Fanatics. There are two price points for these products, pre orders and public sale. No one has a chance to buy these direct later.

Fanatics did not release any Chrome Basketball Jumbo boxes on Topps that day of release.
BUT they did add them to their Fanatics site later at "market" prices of $1299.

They absolutely hold back stock to sell at a higher prices that they caused by holding back stock lol

Yup, Fanatics pretty much killed most of the fun I had been having the last several years before they took over. I don't buy wax anymore, and just pick up singles here and there.
