LOL Is that number really true???? Just asking for a friend!! On 1/9 my shipment was ship with 580K ahead of it just a few hours before mine was stated shipped. So in less than 18 days they have had over 450,000 cards asked to be shipped. Not counting the one they have shipped over that time. Why was mine shipped before the other 580K? That I do know as they do not pull per order. BOY !! A lot of sellers much be are asking for their cards to be returned. Maybe?

Is this on the desktop site? If so, must be available only to select users. Saved searches have been available on the COMC app to me for awhile, but I still don't have that same functionality on the website.

For those who have recently uploaded cards to Comc, how long did it take for them to upload the cards to eBay?
I know there has been some delay due to reasons, but I have been waiting over a week for three recently graded cards to hit the bay. |

I have a couple theories of why this is, but the important thing is it often seems to work. |

And.., it worked! Thanks! Curious as to what you think is happening for it to glitch in the first place. Nice to see the universal “have you turned it off and on?” trick works.

I am 99.9% sure that at some point in their eBay crossover system, there is a decision point that triggers the system *one time* to create an eBay listing when there isn't one yet. They would risk wasting a lot of system resources if they constantly checked their whole inventory to see if anything wasn't listed. This would obviously be dumb and expensive, and nobody would do it. What I *think* they've done instead is not the optimal solution. Once a listing is up, it generally stays synched with COMC and almost instantly updates price and availability on eBay to reflect the COMC inventory (for sports and non-sport... not so much for TCG these days). Also, when someone buys a non-sport card on eBay and there are multiple copies on the site, it can be hit-or-miss whether the system automatically lists the next eligible copy. These two things together suggest to me that the failure is happening when the system decides to create a listing, and inconsistency on automatic relisting suggests there's something unpredictable about the overall system architecture as opposed to a pure code problem. One plausible theory (and my best guess as to what's happening) is that the one-time process that creates an eBay listing triggers live in production, such that the listing just disappears into the ether if the process fails. In this case there would be lots of possible causes for failure (e.g., the eBay API is down for maintenance, the connection between COMC and eBay is unstable, or the COMC cloud system itself is unstable). I sort of understand why they might do this: they need to have that live production lash-up to make sure their inventory and pricing on eBay are accurate, so it may be simpler to have just the one connection maintaining those listings. The problem is that "simpler" doesn't always give you the best results. Either they don't have the technical ability to engineer efficient solutions to avoid/check for failures, they have other problems to solve that are more pressing, or they don't think it's a problem worth solving. They certainly know about it, or at least they should; I've sent lots of emails about eBay problems and had some responses from the tech team. If they ran a batch system similar to how banks settle transactions overnight, this shouldn't happen. The tradeoff would be that new eBay listings would only go live when the batch runs, which could be as often as they want or just happen once or twice a day. It is possible they have a batch system in place, but based on the way new eBay listings tend to gradually roll out as I price cards, I doubt it. They are running a pretty big Microsoft cloud instance that they probably ported over wholesale from an in-house, bare-metal system. The talent to fix this and keep it fixed is in high demand, so they are using the lowest-paid engineering talent they can find to do this. Even the smartest 22-year-old college grad would have a learning curve, and short of finding a quality engineer who says "it's so cool that I'm in the trading card business that I'm happy to be grossly underpaid," the smartest 22-year-old college grad is likely the best-case scenario for who they are willing to pay. Problems are inevitable. Last edited by NatsSBR; 01-27-2026 at 11:13 AM. |

Also, total change of subject, but we're now up to $4.99 for ESE shipment on eBay.

I realize this is the COMC thread, but I just found out PCSportsCards has the ability to monitor eBay offers on your listings from their website (like COMC). This is probably old news to most, but I couldn't find mention of it anywhere and last time I did fixed listings with PC (admittedly years ago) they had to email me when one of my items received an offer. Wish I'd known this before I sent some cards to COMC recently lol.

COMC eBay
Shipping cost seems random. Any way to get all your listings to have $2.99 shipping? |

Everything that's newly listed is getting bumped up to $4.99. $2.99 will only apply to stuff that was listed before yesterday, it looks like, and it will probably bump back up when the listing recycles.
