Hobby case was a complete dud, but the jumbo case made up for it. It was also looking pretty bad in the first half, but these all came from the last 3 boxes! I was happy that collation seems better this year. I was able to make 11 sets from the two cases and I was only 20 cards short of a 12th set.

If I looked at the odds sheet correctly, the 1/1 Platinum auto is 1:214 Jumbo cases!

It takes me a couple maybe 3 hours to sort a single set. How long does it take you to sort 11? Is this a full time job for you or pay others to do the work?

That I have no idea, i might buy enough to support me sorting a single set for myself to keep in the closet. I would go miserable & blind if I were to do more. Whatever loose base I have in boxes will eventually become kindling or Goodwill drop off.
Lord punish me if I die before my wife and leave it to her to deal with.

A question for those ripping a bunch of this... is card condition a widespread issue out of the pack? I only buy singles as a player collector, and many of the copies I am seeing on eBay have multiple rough corners, considerable edge damage (especially on the back), etc.

My base cards were fine. It was the foil type that had corner issues.

Nobody who sells sets is doing one at a time. The idea is to do maybe 10 at a time. Goes much quicker. A single set might take you 3 hours but if you did two sets it would take you 3 hours and 10 minutes. 3 sets would be 3 hours and 20 min, etc.

Vintage parallel looks great. Always kind of underrated.

Bought 2 hanger boxes yesterday at my LCS. I hit this in one. Wishing it was Skenes, but it's a rookie green #d/99. So not too bad, I guess. Heading to the sale block as I don't PC this guy or the Pirates.

Wow. Opened 2 of these ordered direct from Fanatics. Both hobby boxes missing auto or mem from them, and the boxes had no value.

this release is terrible.

ok with a dud box, but had no like no hits, no backwards, missing an auto or relic per card.

Direct from fanatics.

My son and I have this funny tradition with flagship. He’ll open a hobby box while I’m at work, and I’ll open a hobby box while he’s at his mom’s. We call each other and show what we got. Then we open a hobby box together. I’ve pulled two 1/1 in a row, a printing plate and an in the name Realmuto. He pulled a Jeter /30 silver pack auto. (Ridiculous luck for flagship, I know).

This year, his box was ehhh, just a blue marlins rookie and an aqua chipper mojo. My box this year was complete garbage…until the last pack. There were no numbered cards, no case hits, not even a first pitch card. Best card was a base Roman Anthony. And then…I saw the black rounded edges. I pulled the card before it, the card was backwards, but I saw the Pirates logo.

My poor kid when he sees that he chose not the best box this year. . My best one yet. Hopefully, the hobby box we open together has something nice! It always seems that when we open our box by ourselves our best pull comes from the solo box. Anyway, this tops all of our solo pulls!

Change your name to Cheeto Chin Breaks next time you order. I ordered under the name Neckbeard Sandwich Breakers and got 2 loaded boxes.

Dude chandler is filthy. He’s gonna light it up this year. As for the skenes…..
These were from one hobby box that also had a Jacob Wilson mem and more. S1 seems very hit or miss this year

Thanks. Yea, I had never heard of him until I pulled his card and looked him up. I'm just going to sell it as I don't PC him or the Pirates. Looks like it's about a $150 card.

In my jumbo case, I'd say 75% of the base cards had condition issues. Soft corners, rough edges, etc. I also opened some blasters that were in good shape. Seems to hit in runs.

12 hangers in - nothing of note. Its true, only the 1% of rips are shown.

Same. I had great luck with 2025-56 Chrome Basketball hangers so I thought maybe these were juiced also. I've opened 11 of them and I haven't even hit a single numbered card.

Vintage Stock has been fantastic since 2024 when they finally have it a unique design. It’s only gotten better since 2024. The problem is how unimpressive, and uninteresting it was for so long, since its initial inception really. It could take some time for people to warm to it.

I pulled this from a Jumbo but unfortunately it has a scratch across the middle, an edge issue on the bottom and a corner issue on top left corner. I'm thinking about sending in a damage claim with Topps but have never sent in something this high end. Odds Topps is reasonable here in replacement?
