The registry folks (heavily invested in PSA and wishful thinking) and consigners with PWCC would like you (and everyone else) to believe Brent is just simply a consignment business wearing a blindfold to all the fraud. Do you think Brent is a card doctor? Whos cards do you think he is buying back with crafty worded letters? Do you think Brent has engaged directly in buying cards to alter and resell himself?

According to online records, Brent used to own a restoration business.

Valid statement. Like i said though, i hope im wrong and do hope pwcc goes down. Believe me if i had to pick an escape goat, it would be brent all the way. Personally, i think pwcc is a cancer to the hobby and i for sure will never buy from them. Ever!

I have heard firsthand at a show from a dealer that Brent discussed card alterations in E-mails with other dealers. God only knows if any of the FBI subpoenas were truthfully honored by dealers handing over what they had on Brent. I say that because I can see it as asking criminals to hand over evidence on themself engaging in fraud along with what they're being asked for... Sounds like a bad combination to me to get evidence.

That's a nice summary of Brent's criminality. It's too bad he's not going to trial. That would be "exhibit A," given his choice of defense attorneys.

It just means it is exempt from certain time requirements, probably due to an initial assessment of complexity.

Well, lets look at that.

3% of those that didn't want to hear it were card doctors
7% of those that didn't want to hear it were auction house employees
15% of those that didn't want to hear it worked for the grading companies
25% of those that didn't want to hear it were part of the slab "buyers club" including those that commissioned the card doctors
40% of those that didn't want to hear it were slab investors (incl. prospectors)
10% of those that didn't want to hear it didn't know any better and followed the crowd above

Card already ran the distance once with PWCC and was likely returned after the buyer found out it was trimmed. Now it's back again with the grade "confirmed" by Beckett so PWCC can continue to profit off of selling vast quantities of trimmed cards for their ex-con consignors and BGS can run their business as a criminal racket with no financial consequence. Buyer beware.

I'd demand Beckett to explicitly state their position on before and after pictures before purchasing any of their slabs. But we already know their response here will be tantamount to their admitting they are unable to catch alterations.

One would think that Beckett would pay attention during a technical review.
Prior images should be used as evidence when they can be found.
Cards like this are the easiest to confirm as trimmed due to the simple ability to count dots. Pre trimmed raw has 16 white dots as noted. Post trimmed has 15.
It's not photoshop, a strange glare or an optical illusion. The card has been 100% trimmed.

Unfortunately, I would agree unless you have absolutely nothing better to
do. PSA and BGS have set the tone on how they are going to proceed. It is
quite clear. They will not give their incompetence to grade any legs with
acknowledging it or continuing any dialog.

The only hope is with the FBI. Otherwise, we as collectors are on our own.

How's the bad autographed T206 thing working out? Answer is probably
they working on it. Same answer we will here next year and the year after
that. It will be a distant memory soon enough.

Just look here on blowout or net54. People are talking about bidding, winning, and
consigning with PWCC and Probstein. They haven't missed a beat.
