I agree, just based on the scan looks like it was just graded higher by PSA.

Are you able to come to this decision without seeing a serial number?

Yep, plenty of matching areas on the front and back of both cards.

Just a little conservation here or there and they could be. ;-)

Bid is at $50. You bid $103.5, and eBay says you have been outbid and the new price is $104.12. Minimum increment at that stage is like $2.50. Since high bid is less than $2.50 more than yours, you've exposed the high bid without taking it.

"string bidding" is a term Brent coined when the buyer's club was discovered.

Let's not forget "market pushing" as a euphemism for market manipulation.

Can someone please give a summary (or direct me to one) of exactly what eBay did as far as timeframe cutting the feed to bidder ID's/masked bidder ID's on sales tracking web-sites, just as all this was being uncovered?

The timing seems like a smoking gun that eBay is trying to help hide possible criminal behavior and bury it under the rug from what I have briefly read.

Back in 2013 when other card "alterations" were brought to light eBay quickly made changes to further mask bidder ID's in the feedback (by removing the number count) from what I recall taking away the ability to "match" a buyer ID to previous auction purchase and also a card in some cases before it was altered.

Thanks!

One might find it easier to believe that ebay did *not* in fact cut a feed.

Oh really?

I found something on this (05-28-2019, 01:33 PM):
http://www.net54baseball.com/showpos...&postcount=158

QUOTED:

"BobbyVCP
Bobby Binder

VCP has been in business for 12 years now this month...and in that 12 years our eBay feed has been cut off 2 times.

We did not receive any email or letter from eBay telling us it was going to happen if we did not comply. We were working as usual and lost connectivity, and after doing all our trouble shooting found out it was the API feed not returning the calls.

11 years ago they turned off our API we called and they told us we needed to contact Terapeak and start paying for a license in order to post the data. We called Terapeak made a payment and they called eBay and our API was then turned back on again.

Yesterday again the same thing happening, while working we lost connection to eBay. So after trouble shooting we contacted eBay, was told that we had been flagged for a API data violation of posting buyer information. And it needed to be removed in order for our API to be restored. We removed the information and called them and an hour later our API was working again.

I wish I had more to show you but that is all I have...

Yes, really.

I and plenty of others have already read that thread. I can only speculate, but there is a smell that goes along with that whole thing.

It's possible PWCC and/or Moser complained to Terapeak and Terapeak decided to err on the side of caution (like many companies in similar situations) and pull the info until someone (possibly VCP) contacted them to say they have permission from eBay to use the data.

I would not be surprised if they made a request straight to eBay to have the information shielded...
