If these sets/singles crash in the near future, it will be because the entire basketball market crashed...not because the fanatics sets are bad or lack demand. Because they aren't.

It's the first product this year I did the right thing on of open and grade quick but now stupid Corona has them in psa limbo. Sold 20 Durant for like $12 though

Both Zion PSA 9s
Both LeBrons PSA 9s

Some guy is filling razzes of these at $5.75 a spot (100 total) or ten spots for $5.50 and they fill instantly. Only a matter of time before they hit $600 if you're razzing them.

That's big time. I opened 24 sets. Only pulled 2 Zion green. 1 was o/c (not terrible) the other is at PSA. Out of the 24 sets I only pulled 5 Zion regular worth sending to PSA and 4 of Ja. 5 Lebron.

Thankfully bough 40 sets overall (sold a case of 16 when Covid hit and I thought I was going to need some cash). Overall I'm going to do great, but I called these sets at $500-$600 by the fall and have no doubt they will get there soon.

You did solid, for sure. I got screwed out of 10 sets I bought on eBay for $130ish each. Still frustrating, lol. If the sets didn't drop just after Christmas, I would've bought so many more - but prizm had wiped out much of my card $$.

The great thing with these is that, if you were patient, everyone was a big winner. If you opened, and held/graded - likely did well. If you have kept sealed, you are doing well. Heck, even if you sold sealed early you did darn well.

Have to appreciate things like this (the Fanatics set) the first time, because the 2nd time around will not be the same lol.

Only thing stopping me from ripping my case, was approximately 30% of the key singles in my 4 loose boxes had print lines or were severely OC...including the only green Zion.

And I'm still unsure whether/if Panini is replacing them. Have heard random quips from dudes in this thread but nobody ever reported if they actually received their replacements back.

Yeah, I was lucky to get 2 + cases so had the luxury of opening one and selling the other. As prices continue to rise it sure seems like keeping sealed is the way to go. As someone who opened 24 sets, it was definitely fun waiting to see if your Zion/Ja combo were going to be centered, but by about set 6 it was pretty easy to tell based on the 10 cards in front what you were going to get, and let's just say 19 out of 24 times it wasn't super fun. Zion PSA 10 probably going for about $400, so if you hit a perfect Zion, perfect Ja, and perfect Lebron you can make out great, but this will probably be only 2 to 3 per case.

As more sets get ripped, sealed cases are going to be hard to find. But I'm a degenerate, so they were going to be opened if I didn't get them out of my house ASAP.

No upcharge, which was surprising. The up charge from bulk to standard (well, until recent changes) was only $8. The hike up to express is a little tougher to stomach. Glad there was no upcharge.

Yep, everything you said. I was even fortunate to pull 80/20 Ja/Zions out of a box where 85% of the rookies were dead-on. I $hit you not...the OC started right at Herro (those that understand the sequencing know). I took that as a strong omen not to rip into the case.


I still want to know the updates on people that sent in for replacements. No one's really chimed in with anything, so I'll just take that to mean they're still waiting...
