Might be good for Top Shot.

All the money being poured in doesn't mean a thing if you can't figure out the kinks and take this mainstream. The name you should be focusing on is Paul Tudor Jones, not LL Cool J.

I haven't been following this thread much lately, but he's the source of one of my favorite investment quotes:

"Don't be a hero. Don't have an ego. Always question yourself and your ability. Don't ever feel that you are very good. The second you do, you are dead."

Do you? call him to post here. LOL.

Be proud of yourself and what you accomplish in life, not reading names in a article.

Tudor does nothing for me. I rather know the guy that works at Target that can actually benefit me.

But LL Cool J does something for you? I mean you brought up his name within the last 10 posts in this very thread. I know it's tough to keep your story straight but man, not even 6 hours has past! Does Ladies Love Cool James mean as much as the Target employee?

Gotta think there’s a pretty massive pullback yet to happen at this point? Now 6K Market Sellers to 4.5K Market Buyers and the gap is widening. Not to mention 1 of the sellers, Pranksy, who was supposedly all in on this project in his interview last week, is liquidating a massive number of moments basically daily at this point. Safe to say TS probably ran off some people who are much needed in the market now with their site being a mess last week. I shall patiently wait with my dapper balance and hope one day I can withdraw it.

Names, icons, payment platforms, UX, sales figures, or business models-these alone do not always equate into universal trust. It's precisely why there's a question mark in this thread's title: we can continue to be skeptical of the inevitable outcomes because we cannot see how TopShot ultimately scales. And that's okay, I think!

Here is a model that has had over a year of beta to evaluate risks and rewards. All of the recent history is on the table in this thread and elsewhere, and the emergent rise in sports card "collecting"/"investing"/speculating is going to bring a lot of different people into the fold. Like others have said, the onus is on TopShot to figure it out. I bet that sales metric gives them the edge to buy some more time/bandwidth.

There are some things I personally like, and some things I don't like. It's basically analogous to most everything the physical card companies (and similar platforms like ePack) have experienced for years.

I'm not sure I like-a the juice enough to look past my own blockers. I'd still advocate for a more fair royalty plan that gave persistent financial credit upon secondary market sale to some of the original athletes or in-game production staff (think TV syndication). Curious to hear from others whether that's a reasonable expectation, or if I'm out of my gourd...

Tough to really say, there were over 15,000 people on discord just prior to the break and the que line was in the 60,000's and potentially higher. Prior to the pack drop there were over +500 buyers. The last pack drop had the same numbers and then a large increase in sellers afterwards. This could have a lot to do with the pack drops in general. Some people have already made up their mind on what they want to do. Some are selling, some are staying. Luckily I can do both.

I posted a few extra of my Series 2 Moments and 2/3 of them already sold.

I hope we see some type of plan like that for the old school NBA players. Right now a portion of the transaction fees go to the NBPA. I'm all about grabbing a Tim Hardaway cross-over or Kareem skyhook.

So I just checked my port value and it's actually 10% higher than it was prior to the pack drop yesterday. I was concerned but they might actually have this que thing done right.

Emphasis added - and I agree. I think it would be awesome to see historical playoff, Conference, and Finals-game highlights with persistent "charity" allocations on the secondary market (every time it switched owners, a reserve donation (flat or scaled) would go to the NBA Foundation.

It's also entirely reasonable that there's some layer of contractual forfeiture for NBA employees making a tangible profit off of a game highlight. That's okay. It just feels a little lacking-establishing a well-constructed plan to repurpose these moments is going to have immense volume for the next wave of releases.

Jeezus....$999....for a Holo Icon Pack

1 Deck the Hoops /99
3 Metallic Gold LE /499
6 Commons /15,000-

I like their player selection as it's balanced between stars and young guys. I would imagine Deck the Hoops Series 1 already has LeBron and Luka. I'm not a fan of the price at all.

Here is the checklist and full list of what will be inserted

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...InuuGIj794BKw#

Deck the Hoops (Series 2) /99
  1. Marcus Smart converts a steal into a fastbreak
  2. Gordon Hayward splits the Magic defense
  3. Coby White absorbs contact for a bucket
  4. Andre Drummond gets an easy dunk
  5. Tim Hardaway Jr. drives and scores
  6. Jerami Grant throws down massive put-back
  7. Steph Curry hits quick release corner three
  8. Victor Oladipo finishes extended reverse layup
  9. T.J. Warren spins his way to an easy bucket
  10. Kawhi Leonard hits pull up jumper at buzzer
  11. Anthony Davis pivots into a fadeaway
  12. Kyle Anderson hits a gap for reverse layup
  13. Tyler Herro loses defender with pass fake
  14. Jrue Holiday creates space for a three
  15. Malik Beasley finishes in transition
  16. Brandon Ingram drives for a one-handed slam
  17. Mitchell Robinson throws down a alob
  18. Luguentz Dort hits a nice reverse layup
  19. Aaron Gordon soars for a two-handed slam
  20. Tobias Harris finds Tyrese Maxey for an alley-oop
  21. Deandre Ayton finishes an alley-oop from Chris Paul
  22. Carmelo Anthony hits a fadeaway
  23. Buddy Hield hits contested three
  24. Dejounte Murray side-steps into a jumper
  25. Kyle Lowry creates space for a deep two
  26. Rudy Gobert denies a drive attempt
  27. Russell Westbrook goes backdoor on the Magic

Anyone know if you can adjust a price once you list a moment for sale? Can't seem to find out how to do this and it should be real easy

Just pull the listing, then relist it with the right price.

Ha, I missed my window to buy. It expired. The pack tomorrow is only $999 though.
