Can someone PLEASE buy Orlando a blacklight as a New Year's gift?

How many PSA "misses" (intentional or otherwise) are we up to now?

How about buying him a new catch phrase instead of blacklight? Joe probably knows more about what goes on with the card doctor submissions, trimming, recoloring, and PSA 10 gold than you can imagine

What kind of hubris would it take to work hand-in-hand with a card doctor for over a decade, pumping untold thousands or perhaps even millions of altered cards into the industry, only to then announce to the hobby, shortly before you're caught, that you're really only helping collectors by "conserving" cards, not molesting them in every conceivable way?

Brent belongs in jail.

Default PWCC Altered Cards Callout Thread - 1952 Topps Mantle etc

Hard to think that any slabbed ‘48 Leafs are clean. Is it even worse than the Pankhurst sets?

FBI doesn't really speak about ongoing investigations until the indictments are issued.

It's been over a year, there's plenty of evidence.

I think it took like four years to charge Mastro, right? This has so many more players, and there was some strange reason that normal stuff hasn't been happening for the past year.
But then, you know that, and you're trolling.

I was speaking the other day with one of the prominent dealers in the coin industry and he thought that if the FBI investigation fails to take down those most active in fraud, a civil suit brought by a wealthy investor on a $1 million altered card might be the best vehicle for change.

In theory that might be another option however of the numerous wealthy collectors I know and know of, none would bother to bring such a suit. This sort of supports comments I have made based on my conversations with Agent Brusokas--there are seemingly no victims because the market has really been accepting of the altered cards.

The problem is there's going to come a moment when the market suddenly won't be so accepting, and then a ton of value will be lost.

I get that high-dollar collectors want to protect the value of their cards, but as in most things in life it's best to do the right thing now, even if it hurts, because the bad thing will come around and bite you much harder later. Go after the trimmers and the graders now and get the restitution that you can, because in the future you might not have the opportunity.

To be fair, he didn't say it necessarily would happen; just that it could.
