Maybe he’ll sign with the Wolves!

Very interested in where a buyout might see him land, couple of possibilities that have me excited!

A Brooklyn reunion with KD would be cool. But hearing the clippers are the favorites. Which would be awesome.

It’s a bittersweet ending for sure. I was hella excited when the Lakers landed Russ. I knew the fit was a huge question mark but I thought they’ll find a way to make it work, thought overtime it was just growing pains, finding rhythm + building chemistry but it just never clicked. His Laker stint was a failure but Russ is the only one who consistently played with a pulse though, you just gotta love that.

Definitely want to see him land in a better situation to close his career, maybe back with the Wiz. He’s liked here in DC both by the fans and players.

I see it the same way! Check out the flagrant disrespect on his way out the door in this ESPN piece.

We all know Windhorst and his connection to LeBron right? We all know he is LeBron's ESPN mouthpiece yes? That's not a secret or conspiracy. Did you see how SVP noted they lost an important game and it was completely glossed over? This is just shameful and flat out disrespectful making assumptions about Westbrook's future prospects in this manner. The language used is criminal about Russ' Lakers tenure and this is how media shapes a narrative for the mouth-breathers to take as gospel. Don't even get me started about how a guy like Windhorst can tell me about the ins and outs of playing basketball... fella never even hit a brisk walk in his life.

I think they just knew the move for Russ was to clear cap and the buyout will happen. No need to play him, as teams already know what Russ is bringing to the table after the buyout.

Gotta commend Rusty for his blind defense of Russell all these years.

Russ is going to be on his 5th team in five years. He is a free agent at the end of the year, so likely 6 teams in 6 years.

I really like the new look Nets -

PG: Dinwiddie/Patty Mills/Seth Curry
SG: Cam Thomas/Joe Harris/Sumner
SF: Mikal/Royce O’Neale/Yuta
PF: Cam Johnson/DFS/Ben
C: Claxton/Sharpe

They likely move Jae, Royce, and Curry but they've got solid defense, an ascending talent at center, and switchable wings. If they wanted they could still upgrade their frontcourt a little bit and flip Royce/Jae for JC. They've also got the picks if they wanted to upgrade PG from Dinwiddie to FVV.

They traded all of their stars and are still a playoff team - bravo.

*A team fighting to avoid the Play-in.

Ultimately the whole experiment was still a failure. They went from a super team with eyes on a title to a squad that won't make it past the 1st round if they even get there.

Play in... MAYBE.

I mean who's their best player now? Claxton? Mikal?

As much as I like Can Thomas he's not an elite shot creator for a playoff team. Dinwiddie is ok?

Other than that they have 100 wings who stand in the corner and shoot.

It’s DFS. He was the second best player on the Mavs. He should excel on the Nets now that KD is gone.

It sounds worse than it really is. Teams are always buying 2nds and the Bucks don't really have room/playing time for anyone they would pick in the 2nd round in the near future anyways.

The Lakers are trading Thomas Bryant to the Nuggets for Davon Reed and three second-round picks, sources tell ESPN.

I see your point. Bucks still need another scorer imo but we’ll see if they have another move before the deadline.

That's a big loss. He played really well for them especially when AD was out

Yeah, he’s definitely a bucket in the post but looks like Ham is confident with Wenyen and Vanderbilt playing those T. Bryant minutes.

Why would the Lakers do this? There’s gotta be some other trade they’re going after where they needed some extra 2nd round picks to move.
