It's odd that he listed it as an auction. I would think the best way to list is to set a 30-day listing with a $10k BIN with best offer open.

I understand that the card is #/10 but PSA7? Why even grade it? He should have taken your offer long ago, especially if it was anything over $1k.

OP isn’t the seller. But his motive is to get these Bonds cards as much attention as possible to push prices higher.

Nobody who actually wants a card draws attention to it the way he does.

As an aside, I have not seen that photo of Bonds in a while. It really is amazing how much his head grew since then! He looks more like Johnny Ray than later day Barry in that photo!

You guys need some fresh air. I started this thread without saying the card and I got “We can’t help you without more info.” I post the info and now it’s an elaborate rouse. Why am I pushing them higher? To sell them to myself? I’ve bought two significant Bonds cards this week at good prices. Nothing like pumping them to myself. Some of you guys seriously must be miserable to live with.

I mean, it's a card that requires a very specific buyer. While it's possible that that specific buyer (besides yourself) would see the ebay listing, it's not guaranteed. Posting a link to the auction can only increase the likelihood that you have competition for the card. The number of people in the market for that card are small, but the ones that are will likely pay as much or more than you. So nothing good for you can come from posting the link if you are trying to buy the card.

Your title and original post make it sound like you were wondering what the value of the card might be or how to come up with a price with no comps. You can't answer that without having some information on the card. Even then you didn't give all of the information, like failing to mention that the card was graded.

You seem to be a pretty big Bonds collector, the seller is apparently a very well known Bonds collector who has been very active over the last year selling Bonds cards, and the two of you couldn't come up with some type of value on the card?

If you wanted the card so bad, you never should have let it get to an eBay auction.
